About Us

ACORN Radio is an internet Voice of the People station featuring reports and interviews from ACORN affiliates around the world. ACORN is an international membership organization of more than 250,000 low-and-moderate-income families and lower-waged and informal workers in more than fifteen countries. The station was created to allow members, leaders, and friends of ACORN to communicate with each other, keep up with issues, campaigns, and news, and collectively engage in this programming in building power in their communities, workplaces, and countries around the globe.

ACORN Radio is also a way for ACORN members and other listeners to enjoy musical programs and public affairs that have value in their lives. ACORN Radio is programmed with the assistance of the Affiliated Media Foundation Movement (AM/FM), which curates the best of the programming from the network of Voice of the People stations in Little Rock (KABF), New Orleans (WAMF), KOCH (Nairobi), and Radio ACORN (Uganda) to share as well when ACORN affiliate programs are not scheduled.
